What a turnout for poet Richard Newman last night at @subbooks ! For those familiar with the St Louis poetry scene, he was a fixture, serving as Editor and Executive Director of @riverstyxmag for 22 years.
He currently teaches Creative Writing and World Literature at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco. Before moving to the Maghreb, he and his family lived in Vietnam, Japan, and the Marshall Islands after leaving the US in 2016.
Signed copies of his new collection “Blues at the End of the World” now in stock.
